Fluffbug - Robot Worskhop

Advanced Workshop (Ausgebucht)

Robots are entering our lives, for now as vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers. More of them will gradually appear, and whose bidding will they do? To control them and make sure they act in our best interests, we need to first understand them. We can't leave them in the hands of evil corporations. We need to build our own robots. Walking robots are particularly interesting, because there is a lot of room for improvement right now. A small, cheap, desktop robot like Fluffbug provides ample opportunity for experimenting, while not being too much of a burden. CircuitPython makes it simple to program. Extensions make it easy to add sensors or other hardware to it. Please note that while Fluffbug may look like a toy, it contains small parts, moving motors and a lithium battery. It is not suitable for small children. During the workshop you will build one Fluffbug robot out of the provided kit, using available tools. There will be some soldering and some mechanical assembly. If you want to, you can also bring a laptop and a USB-C cable to play with the programming, however the robots will come by default with a program allowing you to control them from your phone.
