Eisentanz Klangperformance

On stage, he lets loose with hammers on the tubes, sets metal plates whirring, and is himself part of a flowing electric current. Eisentanz moves to the groove of a robot accented sound system in which he himself steers his musical spaceship. All live elements are then woven together and, using meticulously placed microphones, are incorporated into a total concept that whisks the listener away on a journey into the exciting heart of electronic music. His sound will appeal equally to lovers of dark, melancholic, yet also percussive, sound collages, and fans of spherical, conceptual film music, and will delight enthusiasts of genre-spanning performances. Eisentanz has performed his music at important locations around the world. He follows his own rules and does not fit in any musical pigeon hole.

Eisentanz (Jean-Claude Horlacher)

From a young age I was fascinated by everything sounded somehow. Six years old I tried with a screwdriver, to make scratches in vinyl records to make some loops. 1985, I bought my first keyboard, later some samplers, microphones, mixers and other electronically gear. Since I recorded up a lot with the microphone, experimented with stones, metal, wood, water and so on to create new sounds for my sampler, I developed my own instruments to play it live on stage. Since 2006, I focus only on my live project Eisentanz.
